New stats on reported injuries

As requested we are providing  additional reports on the injury data.  The reports reflect  injuries that occurred from January 1 to August 31, 2012.  The new category of EMS reveals the large number of calls that were previously in Rescue Non-fire as truly EMS.

There are 508 injuries that have resulted in lost time to departments.  The activity with the largest amount of lost time is Fire Suppression, followed closely by Station Duties and then EMS.  Injuries to the back and shoulder are keeping your individuals out the longest.

If you have questions on these reports or would like to have reports created for your fire protection entity please contact Laurie Taylor at laurie.taylor@tcfp.texas.gov.
